Charles
H. Thronson is a senior partner at the law firm of Parsons
Behle & Latimer, and is Chairman of the Personal Injury Section.
Parsons Behle & Latimer is one of the largest law firms in
the Intermountain West, with 120 attorneys, and over 100 additional
paralegals, staff and administrative personnel serving clients
in virtually every aspect of the law.
Mr. Thronson received a B.A. degree from the University of Washington, and his law degree, magna cum laude, from Creighton University in 1977, where he was a School of Law Scholar and selected for membership in the Alpha Sigma Nu National Honor Society.
Since 1982, Mr. Thronson has specialized in severe injuries
involving children, and he has handled an exceptional number
of cases for seriously injured children, in the process achieving
a number of multi-million dollar settlements.
He has been selected by his peers for listing in "Best Lawyers in America" since its inception, and he holds the highest possible rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the respected national lawyer directory.
Mr. Thronson has been an adjunct professor at Westminster
College, and is an adjunct Professor of Law at the University
of Utah College of Law, teaching Advanced Torts Practice.
He has been Chairman of the Utah Issues Teenage Pregnancy
Task Force, and a member of the Utah Prelitigation Task Force
of the Utah State Division of Occupational and Professional
Licensing which created prelitigation rules for medical malpractice
cases. Mr. Thronson has been a Utah State Bar Examiner for
the past 15 years, is a charter member of the American Inns
of Court II, and is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers
of America, the Utah Trial Lawyers Association, the American
Bar Association and the Salt Lake County Bar Association.
Mr. Thronson is a frequent lecturer to parents, advocacy
groups, lawyers, physicians and nurses in the Intermountain
West on topics regarding children with disabilities, including
subjects such as child advocacy, parents' rights, cerebral
palsy, traumatic brain injury, obstetric malpractice, vaccine
injury, tort reform and products liability.
Mr. Thronson is admitted to practice in all Utah State Courts
and the United States District Court for the Districts of
Utah and Arizona, the United States Court of Appeals for the
Tenth Circuit, and the United States Court of Federal Claims.
He is a member of the Litigation Section of the Utah State
Bar, and the Litigation and Torts and Insurance Practice Sections
of the American Bar Association. He frequently associates
with qualified attorneys in other jurisdictions around the
country.
Mr. Thronson has handled personal injury and medical malpractice
cases throughout the state of Utah, as well as Wyoming, Idaho,
Nevada, Arizona, and California.
